You might call us the "accidental agency." We were just trying to help
one small college market its graduate programs. But one college
led to another. And another. Which led to a bank. Which in turn led to
a hospital. That’s when we knew we had an actual agency on our
hands. Today, 15 years later, Mindpower is a full-service branding
agency specializing in Health, Wealth & Wisdom.
Aquinas College was our first client – circa 1994 – and is still one of our favorites. Besides trusting us with that initial project, the Grand Rapids, Michigan school gave us the chance to learn how to maneuver in near-blizzard conditions. Since then, we've worked with scores of colleges, universities, boarding schools – even the Fulbright Scholars program.
In 1996, we started with our first "Wealth" client, Pointe Bank, in Boca Raton, Florida. Over ten years, the three-branch community bank became "The Professionals’ Choice," a 12-branch network targeting doctors, lawyers, business owners, and anyone else who wanted great banking. The brand was so successful that a bigger bank scooped it up in 2005. It’s gotta be said: We miss the Pointe!
Fast forward to 2002. Still reeling from the dot.bust and 9-11, we found healing in the company of WellStar, a five-hospital health system in northwest Atlanta. We’re happy to report that, with a little branding help from Mindpower, WellStar has since become the largest healthcare system in Georgia.
Mindpower was named to the Inc. 5000 roster of the fastest-growing private companies in the country. Woo-hoo! (We're at 1,384 to be exact.)
Our strengths? Concept to completion. Idea to implementation. Research to results. Our capabilities can be best described as "whatever it takes to get a job done."
We also love listening, reading, laughing, thinking, brainstorming, and creating – everything that goes into building a powerful brand.
We hate some things, too. Like closed minds. Empty doughnut boxes. Pantyhose and neckties. Prima donnas. And hysterical barking, whether human or canine.
About world peace. Stroke prevention. And why kids hate math and science. Give us a problem, any problem, and we’ll bust our brains to find the answer. The fact is, nothing makes us happier than simply, well, thinking. We love to bring ideas – sometimes kicking and screaming – to life.
